Day to Night

For all the busy ladies out there who keep a fun social schedule, it’s important to plan your outfit. Something that can carry your day to night. With a quick shoe swap, bolder eyeliner and a new clutch…voila! You can go from the office to the art gallery…

This off the shoulder Peter Pilotto dress really flatters with this delicate print detail. The flounce hem is a really sweet touch, making it an extra special dress. $1200

HOW TO STYLE IT for work

For this look, I would try to find a cornflower blue flat that is an extension of the look. Something you can incorporate into your wardrobe beyond this one look. Flats you could wear with a denim on denim look or any other solid look moving forward.

I found these suede Steve Madden options for you to consider. The color is pretty perfect   ( a bit more muted than the blue that is used in the dress) and, like I have highlighted before, tassel’s are a great detail.  These are called the ELIVAIT sandal, Nordstrom -under $60.

Consider teaming it with a mini bucket bag that can be worn crossbody or as a shoulder bag. This adds an additional element of casual to the look. It’s also a strong piece to keep in your wardrobe for years to come. Look for something without any polished hardware. The more sleek and solid it is, the more versatile it will be for you.

Found you an affordable option to consider on SHOPBOP from SHAFFER, $190.

Personally, I wouldn’t add any bold jewelry to accessorize the look. Definitely wear your everyday jewelry-but no need to add something extra. Definitely a personal choice!

HOW TO STYLE THIS LOOK for night

Heels! Yes, the quickest way to transition this look is with a fierce pair of heels that can be as subtle as you want or as bold. Important to keep in mind that you never want to pick a shoe that is going to compete with the look – you want it to enhance the look.

Of course, there is a more conventional option which is a black sandal. Nothing wrong with that. I would say, don’t pair this with a pump. This LK BENNETT heel is a good option to consider. Karlie Tied Sandal, $395.Screen Shot 2016-08-05 at 2.10.01 PM.png

My top picks for accessorizing this look in terms of clutch and jewelry, below.

Screen Shot 2016-08-05 at 3.03.37 PM.pngL’AFSHAR -Black marble-inspired clutch. Plan de Ville, $990. The designer, Lilian Afshar, has an array of beautiful color options and different textures. The black is a no brainer that you can use again and again. There is a gorgeous blue option to think about it!

Charlotte Olympia is ALWAYS a brand you can rely on for the perfect accessories. This clutch is so fun and so perfect for this dress. There isn’t much I need to say about it, if you ask me! Net-A-Porter, $995.

When it comes to jewelry, PERSONALLY speaking, I would lee it simple. Bare ears, my wedding ring and maybe a super thin black or deep blue choker.

Most people like accessories and have a lot – so, I would throw on a pair of great earrings – throw my hair up into a romantic ponytail. Keep a nude lip and play up the eyes with extra liner, some shimmering blush and be done!

J CREW usually has  a good select of costume jewelry. Worth checking out! These cluster earrings are under $50. The gold cuff from Ileana Makri is super pretty and goes with that off the shoulder look, something simple and pretty. Net-a-Porter, $735

Stack a few thin rings with different textures on your finger or one on every finger, and head out the door.
